Travel RN - ICU

American Traveler is hiring an experienced ICU RN for a 13-week night shift assignment requiring at least 2 years of hospital experience and an active TX or compact RN license.

Job Details

• Work in the Medical ICU of a hospital setting,
• Provides care to medical ICU/MSICU patient population,
• Uses ICU equipment including ventilators, NXStage, Arctic Sun, and GE Cardiac Output monitors,
• Performs procedures such as central line placements, thoracentesis, dialysis catheter placements, cardioversions, intubations, and other ICU interventions,
• Documentation completed in Meditech,
• 13-week assignment with 7P-7A shift schedule,
• Rotating weekend requirement,
• Floating required as needed,
• No on-call responsibilities,

Job Requirements

• Active RN license (TX or Compact) required; temporary licenses not accepted,
• BLS and ACLS certification required,
• CCRN certification preferred,
• NIH Stroke Certification required for MICU placement,
• Minimum 2 years of hospital ICU experience required,
• Meditech EMR experience preferred,
• No gaps in work history of 90 days or more within the past 12 months,
• SSN and date of birth required for consideration,
• One professional reference required (two required for Florida and Missouri candidates),

Additional Information

• Must reside outside a 50-mile radius of the facility to be considered; no local candidates accepted,
• Royal blue scrubs required for RNs,
• Facility is a Level III trauma center with an ICU serving high-acuity patients,
• Assignments made according to patient acuity and staff skill level
