Travel RN - Operating Room

American Traveler is hiring an RN with OR experience for a rotating shift Operating Room position requiring ortho experience and VA or compact RN licensure.

Job Details

• Operating Room unit within a 250-bed academic community hospital offering comprehensive surgical services,
• All ages patient population with 1:1 patient ratios,
• Uses Meditech EHR,
• Rotating schedule of two 12-hour and two 8-hour shifts,
• Weekend coverage required every other weekend or as needed,
• Call rotations required, primarily on weekends, with occasional overnight weekday call possible,
• May be asked to float within scope of practice,

Job Requirements

• Active RN license in Virginia or compact license required,
• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, HWC, NIH,
• 1-2 years of OR experience required, with 2+ years preferred,
• Ortho experience required,
• Motivated, proactive, and professional demeanor desired,

Additional Information

• Facility is a designated Chest Pain Center and Certified Advanced Primary Stroke Center with comprehensive surgical, cardiac, and oncology services,
• Navy blue scrubs provided by the hospital,
• Consent to random drug screening and completion of a Criminal Questionnaire/Consent Form required,
• Candidates must live 60 miles or greater from the facility to be considered for the travel rate,
• Candidates cannot have worked as permanent staff at any LifePoint facility within the last 12 months,
• Candidates cannot be employed elsewhere full-time
