Echocardiographer - PRN

Overview Performs all echocardiogram procedures including 2D, M-Mode, Doppler, transesophageal, and stress echo under supervision. Ensures patient safety, maintains a clean environment, and supports quality assurance. Demonstrates technical proficiency, effective communication, and the ability to work independently and within a team. Manages supplies, completes accurate documentation, and participates in ongoing education. Prepares patients, adheres to universal precautions, and responds promptly to STAT orders. Maintains professional relationships with peers, physicians, and patients, utilizing critical thinking to assess patient conditions and assist in diagnosis. Responsibilities Performs echocardiogram procedures including 2D, M-Mode, Doppler, transesophageal, and stress echo under supervision; ensures patient safety and maintains a clean environment. Qualifications Associate degree or accredited training preferred; High School Diploma or GED required. Current BLS certification, RDCS (ARDMS) or RCS (CCI) required; ACLS preferred. Experience with echocardiography equipment and hospital settings advantageous. Skills Effective communication, interpersonal skills, computer proficiency, and technical expertise in echocardiography. Ability to prioritize, resolve conflicts, and follow safety protocols. Key Duties Patient identification, safety, and comfort. Equipment management. Accurate record-keeping.
