IOP Phlebotomist

Phlebotomist – Calera, AL LabCorp is seeking a qualified phlebotomist to work in our Calera, AL location. The position is full‑time, Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. with a 1‑hour lunch break. Job Responsibilities Perform blood collections by venipuncture and capillary techniques for all age groups. Collect specimens for drug screens, paternity tests, alcohol tests, and other clinical tests. Enter patient data accurately and promptly into the electronic system. Process billing information and collect payments as necessary. Prepare all collected specimens for testing and analysis. Maintain patient and specimen information logs. Provide superior customer service to all patients. Perform administrative and clerical duties as required. Travel to additional sites when needed. Minimum Qualifications High school diploma, GED, or equivalent. Phlebotomy certification or completion of a training program, or at least 3 months of experience as a phlebotomist. Full COVID‑19 vaccination or documented medical or religious accommodation. Proof of qualification to be verified at the time of hiring. Preferred Qualifications At least 1 year of phlebotomy experience. Accredited phlebotomy certification or training program. Excellent customer‑service record. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Ability to work independently or as part of a team. Minimal supervision and reliable transportation. Willingness to work overtime when required. Pass a standardized color‑blindness test. Additional Job Standards Flexible to work overtime as needed. Ready to travel to additional sites.
