Data Architect

Client seeks an experienced data architect who will be responsible for creating data models for enterprise applications and will participate in the design, development, and ongoing expansion of an enterprise data warehouse. The incumbent will participate in all aspects of data architecture, data quality assessment, data modeling, data integration, data migration, and Oracle PL/SQL development using tools such as ERwin, Informatica PowerCenter and TOAD. Additionally, the incumbent will support development of analytics solutions on a modern Big Data and Cloud platform. This position requires a good portion of hands-on database development work in addition to architecture, design, and technical leadership.

Specific Duties:

• Develop conceptual, logical and physical data models for large and complex transactional applications using Erwin.
• Maintain and enhance the enterprise data warehouse, including the ODS and analytical data marts. This includes dimensional modeling, managing the data models, as well as the workflows and ETL processes.
• Architect and lead the development of analytic solutions to enable data discovery, self-service, dashboards and reports.
• Lead and participate in database development in Oracle 11g and 12c.
• Lead and participate in data migration and data integration efforts, including hands-on use of Informatica PowerCenter.
• Design and develop modern analytic solutions using emerging Big Data and Cloud technologies.

Required Skills:

• Relevant experience in data architecture, including data modeling, data integration, database development, and business intelligence.
• Oracle design and development experience, including PL/SQL.
• Data modeling experience using ERWin or similar modeling tools.
• Data integration experience using Informatica PowerCenter or similar DI tools.
• Technical team leadership experience.
• Experience and in-depth understanding of dimensional modeling, OLTP and OLAP database designs and implementation strategies.
• Data profiling and data quality assessment experience.
• Demonstrable experience in architecting analytic solutions: including Dashboards, KPI, Scorecards, and Operational and analytical reporting.
• Strong oral and written communication skills.
• Experience working with Big Data technologies, such as data lakes, HDFS, Hadoop, NoSQL DBs, etc.
• Experience working with geospatial data.
