This role involves providing specialized nursing care in a 14-bed Critical Care and Progressive Care unit, focusing on vent-dependent patients and those requiring intensive monitoring and ventilation support. The position is on a night shift schedule, starting as soon as possible, with a duration of 13 weeks. Job Details Position requires RN licensure in the state of Indiana, with certifications in Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) and Basic Life Support (BLS). Educational requirements include an active nursing license and current driver's license. Critical care skills are required; no extracorporeal membrane oxygenation (ECMO) or trauma experience needed. Experience requirement: 1 year of critical care nursing preferred. Schedule: Nights, 12-hour shifts, with a minimum of 36 hours per week. The role involves caring for ventilator-dependent patients, managing IV drips and sedation, and providing occasional recoveries after hours. The unit operates with patient ratios of 2:1 or 3:1 depending on patient needs, with some overflow to medical-surgical units. Candidates must attach all required licenses and certifications upon submission and include their drivers license and permanent home address that matches their ID. Travel nurses must be greater than 50 miles from the facility; local candidates are not accepted.
