Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioners (PMHNP-BC)

Mindify Wellness and Care is seeking a New Jersey-licensed Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP-BC) to provide a combination of onsite and telehealth psychiatric services.

The selected provider will work onsite at our partner adult day center in Asbury Park one day per week from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. and provide additional telehealth services to Mindify patients.

Schedule

This hybrid position includes:

• Onsite services in Asbury Park: One day per week from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
• Telehealth services: Additional appointments scheduled according to patient needs, caseload availability, and the provider’s schedule

The specific onsite weekday will be coordinated with the selected provider. Telehealth appointments may be scheduled on the same day as onsite services or on additional days, depending on patient needs and the provider’s availability.

Applicants must be available to provide both onsite and telehealth services.

Compensation

• Initial psychiatric evaluations: $70–$90 per completed visit
• Follow-up medication-management visits: $45–$60 per completed visit

Rates are based on experience, credentials, qualifications, and clinical expertise.

Responsibilities

• Conduct initial psychiatric evaluations and follow-up medication-management visits
• Diagnose behavioral health conditions using DSM-5-TR criteria
• Prescribe and manage psychiatric medications
• Develop and update individualized treatment plans
• Monitor patient progress, medication effectiveness, and potential side effects
• Educate patients and families about diagnoses, medications, and treatment options
• Complete accurate and timely documentation in the electronic medical record
• Collaborate with therapists, social workers, primary care providers, and other members of the treatment team
• Conduct risk assessments and crisis evaluations when clinically appropriate
• Coordinate referrals and follow-up care when needed
• Follow HIPAA requirements, clinical standards, prescribing regulations, and organizational policies

Required Qualifications

• Master’s or doctoral degree from an accredited Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner program
• Active New Jersey RN license in good standing
• Active New Jersey APRN license in good standing
• Current PMHNP-BC certification
• Active DEA registration and New Jersey prescriptive authority
• Availability to provide onsite services in Asbury Park one day per week from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
• Availability to provide additional telehealth services
• Ability to complete clinical documentation accurately and on time

Experience in outpatient behavioral health, telehealth, adult day centers, geriatric care, or working with diverse populations is preferred.

Position Details

This is a 1099 independent contractor position . Mindify provides:

• Patient referrals
• Administrative scheduling support
• Patient-coordination support
• Malpractice insurance coverage
• A collaborative agreement for services delivered to Mindify patients
• Collaboration with an interdisciplinary behavioral health team

Mindify’s malpractice insurance coverage and collaborative agreement apply only to services provided to Mindify patients while the provider is actively contracted with Mindify. They do not extend to patients seen through the provider’s private practice or any other organization.

Part-time or full-time W-2 opportunities may become available in the future based on organizational needs and mutual interest. However, W-2 employment is not guaranteed.
