Manufacturing Financial Planning Analyst (Maine)

At TI, the role of the Financial Planning Analyst is to drive financial excellence for the business. This individual ensures the financial health of the business (credibility, integrity and compliance). They support management with information and analysis to make better business decisions, and support the data needs of TI management. And they provide leadership to in the areas of financial forecasting, efficiency improvements, reporting enhancements, risk and profitability analyses, and development of predictive indices.Responsibilities include:• Driving the quarterly and annual forecasting process for the manufacturing facility.

• Analyzing actual results versus forecast and prior-period performance and assisting in explaining significant variances.
• Preparing and analyzing monthly financial results for the manufacturing facility, including operating expenses, manufacturing costs, labor, materials, overhead, and inventory.
• Partnering with Factory Leadership and the Controller to understand financial and operational performance and identify opportunities for cost improvement and efficiency.
• Analyzing manufacturing cost drivers, including raw materials, labor, overtime, overhead, scrap, & production volumes.
• Tracking and reporting key financial and operational metrics and assisting in identifying trends and areas requiring management attention.
• Preparing monthly and recurring financial reports, dashboards, and presentations for Factory Leadership
• Leading financial analysis for cost-reduction initiatives, productivity improvements, process changes, and other operational projects.
• Supporting capital expenditure analysis, including preparation of business cases, financial models, and tracking of approved capital projects.
• Developing, maintaining and improving financial models, reporting tools, and analytical processes.
• Partnering with other functional groups (such as Operations, Planning and Procurement) to understand material costs, purchasing activity, and other factors impacting factory financial performance.
• Ensuring financial reporting complies with corporate policies, internal controls, and established processes.
• Supporting internal and external audits by providing financial information, analysis, reconciliations, and supporting documentation.
• Identifying opportunities to improve reporting accuracy, data integrity, processes, and financial visibility.

Minimum Requirements:• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business Administration, or a related field.• 2+ years of experience in financial analysis, FP&A, accounting, or a related finance role.• Basic understanding of financial statements, budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis.• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including formulas, pivot tables, lookups, and data analysis.• Willingness and ability to learn manufacturing operations and understand the financial impact of operational decisions.Preferred Qualifications:• Previous experience in a manufacturing, industrial, distribution, or other operational environment.• Experience supporting budgeting, forecasting, month-end close, or financial reporting.• Exposure to manufacturing cost accounting, standard costing, inventory accounting, or production variances.• Experience with an ERP system such as SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics, or similar.• Experience with reporting/analytics tools and with leveraging AI tools for sustainable solutions • Exposure to capital expenditure analysis or project financial management.• Internship or academic experience involving financial modeling, data analysis, or business partnering.• Strong verbal and written communication skills• Strong leadership and initiative• Excellent organizational skills• Effective communication skills at all levels of the organization• Outstanding analytical skills, critical and creative thinking, problem-solving abilities, detail orientated• Ability to work in teams and collaborate effectively with people in different functions• Ability to take the initiative and drive for results• Strong time management skills that enable on-time project delivery• Ability to work effectively in an interrupt-driven, fast-paced and rapidly changing environment• Demonstrated ability to build strong, influential relationshipsFull timePosting Date: 2026-09-24
