JOB SUMMARY

Our Restaurant Hosts are a vital point of contact for our guests. This person is responsible greeting and seating our guests while providing excellent guest satisfaction and customer service.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

• Be professional and courteous while assisting guests and associates

• Be proactive and prompt

• Set up work area and prepare food and beverage per brand standards and guest request

• Keep the drawer balanced

• Clean and sanitize dining tables, chairs, booths and surrounding guest areas promptly after use to maintain a clean, organized and welcoming dining environment

• Greet guests in a friendly and professional manner and escort them to appropriate tables based on seating availability and guest preferences

• Review inventory of products and communicate with the manager to keep par levels of alcohol

• Follow all safe food guidelines per Federal, State, Terratron and Brand policies

• Follow all safe workplace guidelines per Federal, State, Terratron and Brand policies

• Maintain a sanitary environment and adhere to all Federal, State, Terratron and Brand policies

• Brands serving alcohol; Asking for required proof of age for patrons appearing to be under the age of 40

• Prepare, inspect, organize, restock rolled silverware and service stations to ensure dining room readiness throughout each shift

• Take accurate to-go and room service orders by phone, ensuring all guests requests, modifications and special instructions are properly recorded and entered into the point of sale system

• Able to process all types of payments and balance a bank

• Know and understand your Brands food and beverage selections

General Expectations

• Adhere to all company policies

• Ensure personal appearance is clean and is in uniform as assigned

• Understand and adhere to basic hotel safety, security and emergency procedures

• Replenish any items as needed throughout the shift

• Perform other property specific job-related duties as needed by your supervisor or direct reports

Essential Skills and Experience

• Reliable, self-motivated and good time management

• Available to work a flexible schedule, including weekends, holidays, days and nights

• Must be able to remain stationary or move continuously 50% of the time, ability to move about on property, able to position self to clean floors or under tables, able to communicate with guests in person and on the phone, able to move items weighing up to 50 pounds and lift 20 pounds above shoulders for the operation of the food service area

• Ability to work with cleaning chemicals per Federal, State, Terratron and Brand policies

• Strong skills in oral and written communication and computer knowledge

• Brands with Toast; Cash handling skills required
