Minimum Requirements Doctorate of Physical Therapy from an accredited program or equivalent required. Current Alabama Physical Therapist license in active status and in good standing required. AHA BLS or Red Cross CPR certification required. Minimum 18 months to 2 years of clinical experience as a licensed PT; must have at least 1 year of experience in relevant specialty areas such as geriatric, neurological, stroke, or amputation care. Experience working in inpatient and acute care settings required. Ability to float to other hospital units as needed required. Must be able to perform physical job demands including lifting, pushing, pulling, ambulation assistance, and prolonged periods of standing or walking. Ability to document patient care electronically and collaborate with interdisciplinary teams required. Preferred: Additional licenses in OT or SLP.
Assignment Details Facility Type: Hospital Shift Name: Days Shift Hours: 08:00–16:30 Days: Monday through Friday Weekend Requirement: One weekend required per month. Patient Load: Typical census around six patients per day in inpatient/acute units. Clinical Focus: Geriatric, Neurological, Stroke, and Amputation patients. Onsite Requirement: Physical presence onsite is essential.
