Job Details Position: Med/Surg Tele Registered Nurse Employment Type: Travel Nursing Job Location: Columbus, OH 43210 Start Date: November 2, 2026 Duration: 16 weeks Shift: 12-hour nights Weekly Hours: 36 hours per week Weekly Estimated Pay: $1,940 - $2,040 Patient Population: Adult and geriatric medical-surgical oncology patients Charting System: Epic Orientation: 72 hours Float Requirement: May float to other med/surg oncology units of equal or lower acuity COVID-19 Vaccine: Not required Flu Vaccine: Required with medical exemptions only Job Requirements Minimum 2 years of recent RN experience required Current acute care experience in the specialty required Active Ohio RN license in hand at time of submission BLS certification required Epic charting experience required Experience with telemetry and dysrhythmia interpretation preferred Ability to manage ports, central lines, PICCs, and IV access Strong oncology, med/surg, or telemetry background preferred Must be comfortable with a patient ratio of 1:4 Two professional references required, including one from a manager, director, or other formal leader Responsibilities Provide compassionate, high-quality nursing care to adult and geriatric med/surg telemetry patients Monitor cardiac rhythms and respond appropriately to changes in patient condition Support patients receiving chemotherapy, symptom management, and treatment for complex oncology diagnoses Administer medications and therapies safely, including blood products and IV treatments as ordered Maintain infection prevention practices and strong fall-prevention standards Perform line care and support access/management of ports, central lines, PICCs, and peripheral IVs Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to promote safe, coordinated patient care Float to other med/surg oncology units as needed based on census and staffing Accurately document patient assessments, interventions, and outcomes in Epic Work with a team-focused mindset in a busy, supportive hospital environment Apply now for this travel Registered Nurse opportunity in Columbus, Ohio and advance your career in a rewarding medical-surgical telemetry oncology nursing role.
