Insurance Defense Attorney

Job Overview A law firm seeks an Insurance Defense Attorney to join its Chicago, Illinois office. The ideal candidate will have a strong litigation background and experience in defending various liability claims. This role offers a hybrid work arrangement and requires managing a busy caseload while interacting with clients. Duties Interact with clients while managing a busy caseload. Draft pleadings, discovery demands, and perform legal research. Conduct depositions, argue motions, and attend court hearings and trials. Handle day-to-day case management and oversee national client accounts. Requirements Solid and proven litigation experience. Organized, efficient, with excellent research and writing skills. Ability to multitask, analyze complex issues, and communicate effectively. Familiarity with Illinois court rules and procedures. Willingness to work independently and manage paralegals and legal assistants. Must be licensed to practice in Illinois. Education Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school. Certifications Admission to the Illinois State Bar. Skills Strong litigation and case management skills. Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
