Description Indiana Farmers Insurance is currently seeking an experienced, customer-oriented Field Property Claims professional to join our Claims Team and serve customers in communities throughout the assigned territory. In and around South Bend, Fort Wayne, Logansport areas (Northern Indiana) We are looking for a customer-focused claims professional who enjoys working independently, building relationships, and delivering fair, timely claim resolutions that make a meaningful difference, for our customers when it matters most. This role offers the opportunity to handle a diverse mix of personal, commercial, and farm property claims, including unique agricultural risks. As a trusted field representative, you'll investigate losses, evaluate coverage, prepare property estimates, and guide customers through the claims process with professionalism and care. The type of arrangement available is determined by the position and business needs Matching funds of up to $100 annually are available from the company for your favorite charitable organization Associate recognition awards, fun gatherings, and opportunities to make friends are part of our culture An on-site fitness center, as well as free and convenient parking, make life easier Requirements Qualifications and Responsibilities for the Field Property Claims Adjuster II Field property claims experience, preferably with an insurance carrier Strong expertise in inspecting, evaluating, and estimating structural property losses across a variety of property types, including safely accessing roofs, basements, crawl spaces, and other loss locations as needed Ability to investigate, evaluate, negotiate, and resolve personal, commercial, and farm property claims from first notice through settlement Skilled in interpreting insurance policies, endorsements, and coverage provisions to make sound claim decisions Experience identifying and referring potentially fraudulent claims for further investigation Strong analytical, investigative, and problem-solving abilities Exceptional communication and relationship-building skills, with a customer-focused approach and the ability to effectively manage expectations, navigate difficult conversations, and deliver outstanding service throughout the claims process Valid driver's license with an acceptable motor vehicle record Working knowledge of Xactimate or similar estimating software, preferred Experience handling farm property claims, agricultural structures, equipment, and farm exposures, preferred College degree, preferred Industry designations such as CPCU, AIC, SCLA, or other insurance-related credentials, strongly preferred Why work for Indiana Farmers Insurance?
