Description

• Conduct thorough evaluations for pediatric, adult, and geriatric patients through standardized assessments and keen observations.
• Craft tailored treatment plans that overlay both immediate and long-term goals, focusing on communication, cognitive, and swallowing abilities.
• Deliver individualized speech therapy, targeting diverse areas such as communication, language fluency, voice modulation, and swallowing concerns.
• Work collaboratively with a multifaceted team including physical and occupational therapists, medical staff, and caregivers, to foster a cohesive treatment experience.
• Educate patients and their families to empower continued progress beyond therapy sessions.
• Perform occasional inpatient evaluations with the aim of offering insights and ensuring smooth transitions in care.
• Maintain detailed documentation that complies with governmental regulations and internal standards.
• Commit to continuous learning and staying updated with the latest advancements in the field through ongoing education and team discussions.

Education

• Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution.
• Completion of a Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) if not currently ASHA-certified.

Certifications

• State licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist .
• Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA is highly preferred.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required within 30 days of hiring.
