- Conduct thorough evaluations for pediatric, adult, and geriatric patients through standardized assessments and keen observations.
- Craft tailored treatment plans that overlay both immediate and long-term goals, focusing on communication, cognitive, and swallowing abilities.
- Deliver individualized speech therapy, targeting diverse areas such as communication, language fluency, voice modulation, and swallowing concerns.
- Work collaboratively with a multifaceted team including physical and occupational therapists, medical staff, and caregivers, to foster a cohesive treatment experience.
- Educate patients and their families to empower continued progress beyond therapy sessions.
- Perform occasional inpatient evaluations with the aim of offering insights and ensuring smooth transitions in care.
- Maintain detailed documentation that complies with governmental regulations and internal standards.
- Commit to continuous learning and staying updated with the latest advancements in the field through ongoing education and team discussions.
- Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution.
- Completion of a Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) if not currently ASHA-certified.
- State licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist .
- Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA is highly preferred.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required within 30 days of hiring.
- Expertise in evidence-driven treatment modalities for all age groups, showcasing a deep understanding of both developmental and acquired speech, language, and swallowing disorders.
- Exceptional communication skills to engage effectively with patients, their families, and interdisciplinary teams.
- Ability to personalize therapy approaches based on a rich array of cultural and linguistic backgrounds.
