Job Description, Qualifications, and Evaluation Documentation Job Title: Accounts Payables Manager Division: Administrative Services Division Reports To: Comptroller FLSA Classification: Non-Exempt Job Category: Learned Professional Pay Range: $20.99-$33.40 *Starting Pay: $20.99 * Hours of Work: 35 hours/week, generally Monday-Fridays, 8:00 a.m. - 3:30 p.m., with some evening/weekend work required. Job Description approved by Human Resources Director: 05/18/2026 Job Overview: Enhances and promotes agency financial operations by participating in the accounts payable system and accounts receivable system. Monitors and verifies agency accounts, resolving any discrepancies; maintains accurate and up to date financial records and assists in preparing fiscal reports for management and external agencies. Complies with all federal, state, and local regulations as well as GAAP requirements. Serves as an active member of the ACCORD team by supporting and sustaining ACCORD Corporation operations. Essential Job Responsibilities and Duties: Services accounts payable systems by gathering and sorting documents; verifying transaction information for accuracy and authorization of payment, scheduling and preparing disbursements, and entering transactions. Maintains vendor relations and appropriate 1099 information. Assists with the daily accounting activities including cash reconciliations, statement reconciliations, check-runs, payroll activities, payable transactions and recording of revenue and expenses. Periodically services accounts receivable systems by preparing vouchers and reports necessary for payment from funders; assists with preparing monthly cost allocation journal entries and by preparing cash receipts for deposit and record in accounting system. Assists in monthly and quarterly financial reports involving general ledger accounts as well as ad hoc financial reports; implements recommendations to improve processes and procedures. Verifies account status and resolves discrepancies by investigating documentation, communicating with staff and vendors on account status, reconciling statements and transactions and issuing adjustments. Promote a positive agency image and credibility by working with staff, funding sources and other community agencies, adhering to a professional code of ethics. Promotes leadership in risk management practices by identifying and assessing potential safety, ethical, legal concerns; evaluates and advises on impact and develops strategy to effectively manage and minimize risk. Maintain professional and technical knowledge by attending educational training, workshops, and conferences, as deemed appropriate by supervisor. Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related job results as needed. Performs all other duties as assigned by the Comptroller. Qualifications: EDUCATION: Associate degree in accounting or related field LICENSE REQUIREMENTS: Current driver’s license with a safe driving record EXPERIENCE: Two years’ experience in office management or related field or the equivalent combination of education and experience Environment & Physical Demands: This position may require the following physical demands and exposures: The employee may require engaging in talking, carrying objects, grasping, using manual dexterity, seeing peripherally, sitting, listening, seeing near and far, and general lifting.
