Job Title

Registered Nurse – Medical Surgical / Telemetry

Location

Lubbock, TX | Short Term Acute Care

Schedule / Job Type

Contract | Days (3x12-Hour Shifts, 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM) | Onsite | Every other weekend required

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in a Medical Surgical / Telemetry setting within a Level II Trauma Center at an expected nurse-to-patient ratio of 1:5
• Float between units as needed to support staffing across the facility
• Adhere to department dress code: solid navy blue scrub attire required for licensed nursing personnel
• Commit to working 3 of the following 5 holidays: Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, and New Year's Day
• Complete required onboarding modules prior to start and during orientation

Required Qualifications

• Active RN license required; Compact license must be in hand at time of submission
• Minimum of 1 year of Medical Surgical / Telemetry experience required
• At least one prior travel contract required (seasoned traveler preferred)
• Must submit 2 professional references covering at least 1 year of experience within the last 3 years (Charge RNs and Lead RNs accepted)
• Must live at least 50 miles from the facility to be eligible as a standard traveler (locals considered under separate terms)
• All RTO and scheduling requests must be submitted upfront at time of submittal; post-offer RTO requests may not be accommodated

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience working in a high-acuity or Level II Trauma Center environment
• Demonstrated flexibility with floating between units or sister facilities
• Familiarity with telemetry monitoring and medical-surgical patient populations
