About the Role

The Company is seeking a Vice President, Commercial Loan Officer to join their team. The successful candidate will be responsible for evaluating loan applications, confirming creditworthiness, and improving the loan application process by communicating additional requirements to applicants. This role also involves the rejection of loans with clear explanations of deficiencies, as well as the approval of loans and assisting customers with their inquiries. The ideal candidate for this position is expected to have a strong entrepreneurial mindset, be part of a growing institution, and have the potential to take over and expand an established portfolio. Applicants must have a minimum of 3 years' experience as a Commercial Loan Officer, with a proven track record in credit and business development. Leadership aspirations, strong credit experience, and a business development mindset are essential. The role requires a candidate who is loyal, hard-working, and possesses a team-first mentality. The ability to expand loans, client relationships, and cross-sell bank products is also a key requirement. Familiarity with sales, commercial loan processing, and closing processes, as well as the ability to multitask effectively and good communication skills, are necessary for this position.
