Registered Nurse (RN) - LTC

RN - Geriatric Nursing

Schedule: Nights (7 p.m. - 7:30 a.m.)

Assignment Details:

• Contract Length: 13 weeks
• Guaranteed Hours: Contract Weeks: 13

Requirements:

• Associates in Nursing
• Valid State RN license or compact RN license
• 1-3 years of previous RN experience preferred
• Medical terminology preferred

Roles & Responsibilities:

• Provide direct and indirect patient care in a specialized unit for residents with Alzheimer's/dementia, utilizing verbal and non-verbal communication techniques.
• Address and manage the complex behaviors associated with Alzheimer's/dementia as valid communications.
• Deliver skilled nursing and rehabilitation services to patients recovering from various conditions in a transitional rehabilitation setting.
• Perform nursing services including IV therapy, wound care, and geriatric assessment and management.
• Collaborate effectively with a multidisciplinary team of care providers to ensure a safe and therapeutic environment.
• Demonstrate flexibility in covering shifts and floating to other units as needed.

Compliance / Notes:

• Candidates with licensure hits will not be considered.
• Up to 16 hours of orientation is unpaid.
• Right to cancel up to 3 shifts per contract.
• Candidate must reside outside of a 50-mile radius.
