Description

American Traveler is hiring a General Ultrasound Technologist with at least 2 years of acute care experience and ARDMS certification.

Details

• Acute care hospital setting within the Radiology/Cardiology department
• Performs general diagnostic ultrasound examinations on neonatal, pediatric, adolescent, adult, and geriatric patients
• Includes surgical, portable, emergency, trauma, and outpatient ultrasound exams
• Day shift schedule, 5x8 hours from 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM, Monday through Friday
• Works every other weekend
• No on-call requirements

Requirements

• ARDMS and BLS certification required
• License required if applicable
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in an acute care facility required

Additional Information

• Prepares patients and operates ultrasound equipment to produce diagnostic scans
• Reviews and evaluates completed exams for quality and completeness
• Assists physicians during examinations and adapts to individual physician routines
• Oversees and trains other personnel as needed
• Maintains department equipment and participates in QA/QC programs for regulatory compliance
• Maintains accurate department records and participates in clerical duties as needed
• Assists with patient transport as necessary
• Participates in ongoing professional development through educational programs and in-service training
• Maximum of 7 days RTO per contract, with only 1 holiday request approved per contract
• Accepts local candidates within a 50-mile radius at the local rate
• Returning staff must have a 1-year separation before returning as a traveler
