Accounting and HR Clerk

We are seeking a detail-oriented, organized, and versatile Accounting & HR Clerk to join our customers team. The position will be temporary to hire in the East End of Louisville.  It will be 100% in office.  This dual-functioning role is perfect for a professional who thrives on variety, handling critical day-to-day financial operations alongside key Human Resource administrative tasks.

The ideal candidate will be a proficient QuickBooks user who can seamlessly manage accounts payable/receivable while ensuring our employee onboarding, payroll compilation, and compliance workflows run flawlessly.

salary: $21.63 - $24.03 per hour

work hours: 8 AM - 4:30 PM

Responsibilities

Financial & Accounting Duties

  • Accounts Receivable (AR): Generate and send client invoices, process incoming payments, deposit checks, and perform collections on overdue accounts.

  • Accounts Payable (AP): Review, code, and enter vendor invoices into QuickBooks; schedule and process timely payments; reconcile vendor statements.

  • Data Entry & Reconciliation: Maintain accurate financial records in QuickBooks, ensuring all transactions are properly categorized.

Human Resources & Payroll Support

  • Employee Onboarding: Coordinate and facilitate the onboarding process for new hires, including preparing welcome materials, setting up profiles, and collecting required paperwork.

  • Regulatory Compliance: Ensure company compliance with local, state, and federal labor regulations (e.g., maintaining up-to-date I-9 forms, labor law posters, and personnel files).

  • Benefits Administration: Manage and administer the company’s life insurance policy, serving as the main point of contact for employee inquiries and enrollment.

  • ADP Payroll Compilation: Gather, track, and compile hourly logs, commissions, and deduction information to prepare and submit data accurately for ADP payroll processing.
