Overview Junior Accounting Clerk role with duties in data entry and clerical support to accounting processes. Duties/Responsibilities Conducts routine data entry management for accounting records including accounts payable, billing, and accounts receivable. Supports the product department in facilitating payment of vendors, which may include verification of federal ID numbers, reviewing purchase orders, resolving discrepancies, and supporting vendor relationships. Reviews billing statements, invoices, and similar documents for accuracy; alerts supervisory staff of any discrepancies. Distributes accounting reports as directed. May assist with mail distribution, answering telephones, and other clerical tasks as needed. Performs other related duties as assigned. Required Skills/Abilities Ability to accurately and efficiently enter data into computer software and systems. Basic mathematical skills. Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite or related software. Basic understanding of clerical procedures and systems such as recordkeeping and filing. Ability to work independently and identify and solve problems. Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail. Education and Experience High school diploma or equivalent required. 1 year of clerical work experience. Physical Requirements Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer. Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.
