Development and Communications Manager

About the RoleReporting to the Executive Director of our Houston site, the Development & Communications Manager leads local fundraising, marketing, and community engagement efforts that sustain critical services for veterans and their families. You’ll work closely with national development leadership while serving as the primary driver of site-based donor relationships and community partnerships.This is an exciting opportunity for a fundraising professional who enjoys balancing strategy, storytelling, and hands-on execution in a fast-paced, mission-driven environment.What You’ll DoFundraising & Community Engagement· Lead site fundraising initiatives to exceed annual goals of approximately $750,000· Build and steward relationships with individual donors, corporate partners, and community organizations.· Plan and execute signature fundraising events and sponsorship campaigns.· Collaborate with national development leadership on integrated fundraising strategies.· Represent the organization in the community through presentations, partnerships, and volunteer engagement.· Track donor engagement and fundraising activity using various donor databasesCommunications & Marketing· Manage local marketing, social media, and public relations efforts.· Share compelling client success stories and mission-focused content.· Maintain fundraising and communications calendars and develop branded materials.The Ideal CandidateYou are a mission-driven fundraiser who enjoys building authentic relationships and turning community engagement into meaningful impact.
