Cold forming, stamping, casting, or injection molding experience will also be considered. Viking Forge is a steel forging company dedicated to using technology to advance the science of forging. Viking uses near-net forging design and a world-class quality system (ISO 9001:2008 certified) to consistently meet customer needs. In 1988, Viking started as a supplier of various hardware items for the truck industry and has since moved into the Automotive, Motorcycle, Aerospace, Defense, Oil Field, Off-Highway, and Material Handling markets. -Hot forged product and tooling design -FEA material flow simulation/die stress analysis -Solidworks simulation -Tooling improvement and troubleshooting -Manufacturing process design and development -Analyze and apply expertise to existing products -Manage multiple existing and newly designed projects -Collaborate with manufacturing and quality departments -Develop new products from customer concepts to mass production -Drive continuous improvement of the product and forging process -Other tasks as assigned by the Engineering Manager Requirements -Forging and tooling design experience 3-5 years preferred -Knowledge of Solidworks with 3-d modeling experience -Knowledge in material selection/heat treatment -Basic understanding of the ANSI Y 14.5M-1999 drafting standard -Ability to communicate effectively and professionally #J-18808-Ljbffr
