This role is responsible for safety, productivity, quality control, crew oversight, and equipment operation related to tree trimming and pruning services. Duties/Responsibilities
- Safety - Ensure that all safety policies of company are enforced
- Operate bucket truck and aerial lift equipment in a safe and compliant manner
- Perform daily equipment inspections and job hazard analysis prior to starting work
- Ensure proper use of PPE, rigging, and safety procedures by all crew members
- Monitor Daily Crew Performance to meet quality expectations and company standards
- Supervise and direct 1-2 grounds men in daily operations
- Train and support crew members in proper tree care techniques and equipment use
- Perform tree trimming, pruning, and removal work in accordance with company standards
- Ensure proper rigging and lowering techniques to prevent damage to property
- Maintain clean and organized job sites and ensure thorough job site cleanup
- Help identify labor, equipment and supply needs for daily operations
- Drive Productivity by maintaining efficient workflow and job completion
- Report job progress, issues, or safety concerns to management
- Perform basic maintenance and care of bucket truck, tools, and equipment
- Monitor and request tool and supply needs
- Ensure vehicles, equipment and yards are kept clean and well maintained
- Excellent leadership skills

- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to prioritize tasks and direct crew members effectively
- Strong knowledge of tree trimming, pruning, and rigging techniques
- Ability to safely operate bucket truck and related equipment
- Prior tree care, landscape, or related experience required
- Experience operating a bucket truck or aerial lift required
- A minimum of one to three years of crew leadership or related experience preferred
- Valid driver's license required
- Comfortable working at heights and able to safely use fall protection equipment, including harnesses
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a valid DOT medical card
- Prolonged periods standing, walking, stretching, bending, climbing ladders, kneeling, and pulling
- Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds at a time
- Must be physically able to operate power equipment
- Must be able to work in a variety of weather conditions
- Be able to lift, pull and push materials and equipment to complete assigned job tasks
