Import Export Specialist

Import/Export Trade Specialist (ONSITE) (BH-398308) Location: Austin, United States | Sector: Logistics Distribution & Supply Chain | Rate: $25–30 per hour | Onsite What You’ll Be Doing: Ensure U.S. business operations comply with customs regulations and export control laws. Participate in execution of import and export operations and process improvements. Collaborate with lines of business, purchasing, logistics, suppliers and external stakeholders to ensure compliance. Support daily operational execution of import/export, transfer of technical data, and related trade activities. Interact with internal stakeholders to provide import clearance and export declaration support. Conduct internal self‑assessments to verify trade compliance activities. Maintain records, controls, and audit preparation for import entry and export declarations. Monitor performance of external service providers. Assist import operations and customs broker with clearance issues. Triage import/export shipment issues with freight forwarders, customs brokers, and internal teams. Required: Proficiency in Excel, data analytics, and visualization. Excellent analytical and problem‑solving skills, ability to interpret complex data. Strong organizational, prioritization and planning skills. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Customer focus, ability to prioritize, problem‑solve and multi‑task in a fast‑paced, high‑volume environment. Strong attention to detail and accuracy. Ability to work well in multidisciplinary teams and international settings. Integrity and discretion. Bachelor’s degree preferred. Preferred experience in highly regulated, high‑tech or semiconductor industry. Professional certificates, licenses, Lean Six Sigma and training a plus.
