Heavy Equipment Operator

Synergen is seeking an experienced Heavy Equipment Operator for Synergen Construction. Essential Functions Perform equipment maintenance in a proficient manner Perform sloping, stripping, grading, backfilling, and clearing techniques at an expert level Utilize grade control techniques Utilize advanced technologies related to the construction industry Read, interpret, and implement construction plans Mentor and develop Junior Equipment Operators Establish and maintain working relationships with customers, engineers, and inspectors Qualifications At least 3 years of equipment operating experience required High School Diploma or greater preferred Current Driver’s LicenseKnowledge of machines and tools, including their designs, uses, repair, and maintenance. General understanding of soil and material properties Ability to interpret survey markers (stakes, hubs, control points) Excellent communication skills Physical Demands and Work Environment Use hands or fingers; handle or feel objects, tools or controls Stand; walk; sit; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance; and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl Lift and/or move up to 50 pounds Specific vision abilities required: close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, and ability to adjust focus Exposure to various hydrocarbons including different types of fuel, grease, and oils The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate to high Work environment includes various schedules working outdoors in elements/weather The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this position.
