Laboratory - Pathology Assistant

Pathologist Assistant

Performs gross examination of complex surgical specimens. Includes dissection, description, and tissue sectioning of historical preparations. Performs specimen photography and radiography as needed.

Prior experience in a hospital setting is required. Must be certified PA (ASCP or department of an approved certifying agency). ASCP BOR certified. Graduation from a NAACLS-accredited baccalaureate or post-baccalaureate Pathologist Assistant Training program or completion of a Bachelor's degree with a major/minor or equivalent in any of the biological or allied health sciences.
