Dishwasher

This position requires the dishwasher to work in a fast-paced environment and help maintain a clean kitchen and dish area by properly washing, stocking, and sorting dishes and kitchen equipment.

Essential duties and responsibilities include:

• Maintaining a clean kitchen, properly washing and sorting soiled dishes, and prepping foods as needed. Keeping dish area free of clutter and organized.
• Setting up dish stations, including dish machines and sinks.
• Maintaining clean/dry floors throughout the shift.
• Properly washing, stacking, and storing China, glassware, silverware, cookware, and storage containers.
• Changing water of machines and sinks every two hours, or more often as required by business levels, and properly using chemical dilutions.
• Maintaining trash cans throughout shift and removing full trashcans, boxes and rinsing garbage cans at the end of each shift.
• Maintaining the dry storage area and the organization of storage shelves.
• Following the posted daily dish cleaning duties.
• Assisting other duties set forth or as needed.
• Attending and satisfactorily completing all required training as assigned and required.

Education and/or experience:

• High School Diploma preferred with the ability to work a flexible schedule (late shifts, weekends, or holidays).
• Must be at least 17 or older.

Requirements and skills:

• Food handler certificate required.
• Ability to effectively communicate in English and Spanish.

The employee is occasionally required to sit and climb or balance. The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
