Description

American Traveler is hiring an Echo Technologist / Cardiac Sonographer with 3+ years of experience and RDCS or CCI certification for a 26-week assignment in an echocardiography lab setting.

Details

• Work in a hospital-based echocardiography laboratory within a cardiovascular services department
• Full range of cardiac diagnostic testing performed in this role
• Monday through Friday day shift schedule, 8 hours per day / 40 hours per week
• Rotational weekend shifts required
• Holiday coverage is negotiable
• No floating requirements noted for this position

Requirements

• Minimum of 3 years of Echo Tech experience required
• Associate's Degree in Ultrasound required
• RDCS (ARDMS) or CCI certification required
• Current BLS certification (American Heart Association) required
• Epic EMR experience required
• Level 1 Trauma experience required
• Strong documentation skills and ability to prioritize multiple tasks while coordinating patient flow
• License required if applicable
• Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible for this position

Additional Information

• Performs routine and complex echocardiographic sonography imaging procedures following departmental guidelines
• Critiques imaging quality including positioning, technical factors, and alignment to maintain acceptable standards
• Reviews patient data for accuracy, quality, and completeness
• Cross-trains to other divisions within Cardiovascular Services
• Assists performing physicians and sonographers in delivering high-quality echocardiographic exams
• Candidates who have previously been on assignment at this health system for 1 year or more must take a 6-month break in service before returning to any location within the system
• RTO not to exceed 7 days per 13-week contract period
• Candidates will be interviewed by the facility leader prior to selection
