Role Purpose: The AML Department handles the anti-money laundering/sanctions/financial crime compliance and regulatory obligations applicable to the Firm’s businesses. We are looking for an Anti-Money Laundering/Financial Crime Compliance associate dedicated to supporting the AML Transacting Monitoring Manager in various divisions within StoneX Group Inc. In this role, the AML Transaction Monitoring Associate will play a crucial role in protecting the firm from activity that may be unusual and/or indicative of potential money laundering, fraud, and other types of financial crimes. The AML Transaction Monitoring Associate will be responsible for conducting a variety of tasks such as BAU Alert reviews, SAR drafting, enhanced due diligence, metrics reporting and related ad hoc projects. S/he will utilize internal and external investigative resources and apply logical research techniques. Responsibilities Manage daily alert volumes and investigations; escape matters to AML management as necessary Conduct additional reviews on transactional history and client profile to determine the applicable course of action with the Transaction Monitoring manager Work with other business lines (front office, onboarding, operations/treasury) to request additional information where needed Memorialize rationale on how alerts or investigations are dispositioned; conduct follow up reviews where necessary Prepare narratives and supporting information needed for filing Suspicious Activity Reports (SARs) Conduct complex investigations involving matters such as reviews of multiple associated accounts Keep abreast of new rules, and regulations to further improve the investigation processes Participate in related AML projects and remediations as necessary Learn and develop a thorough comprehension of internal AML typologies relating to specific business lines Utilize internal and external sources, and partner with other members within AML team to research and investigate cases Perform other duties as assigned by your line manager Qualifications 1-3 years experience in conducting alert reviews, investigations, due diligence, and handling remediations in a financial services institution Must have previous financial and/or banking industry experience Good understanding of transaction monitoring scenarios logic Ability to conduct enhanced due diligence and screening Knowledge of AML, KYC, FINCEN, CIP, OFAC, PATRIOT Act, requirements and regulations. Experience in conducting comprehensive investigations and account activity analysis Strong writing and analytical skills Strong problem-solving skills Operational knowledge of USD payment systems, including SWIFT, CHIPS, ACH, and FedFunds a plus Good working knowledge of case management system and transaction monitoring tools (i.e. Nice Actimize, Oracle Mantas) Good working knowledge of MS Excel, including pivot tables, macros, filtering, and sorting. Experience using LexisNexis, World Check or similar tools for due diligence CAMS certification a plus Hiring Salary Range $75,000-$90,000 (Salary to be determined by the education, experience, knowledge, skills and abilities of the applicant, internal equity and alignment with market data.) Subject to business performance and recommendations of management, this role may be eligible to participate in an incentive compensation plan.
