The Optimization Engineer II - New Product Development engages in the system model development, design optimization and qualification of new technologies related to domestic potable water heating, space heating hydronic systems, and combination potable and space water heating systems. The position also entails collaboration, advisory, and joint development projects among Rheem Global operating units and/or with outside partners. Create computer-based component and system level simulations in the prediction of vapor compression cycle behavior, gas combustion, heat transfer, fluid flow, system performance of water heating, space heating, combinational water heating designs and applications.Devise methods of fabrication, testing, coordination of experiments, evaluating test results in comparisons to predicted outcomes, and prepare research summaries contextually relevant to the business. Develop technology path with high fidelity prototypes that represents critical functionality and carry business case components.Coordinate customer testing and early-stage VOC via agile project management approach.Engage and advise engineering teams on matters of expertise, coaching on analysis tools and methods, and engineering problem solving assistance.
