About Riverview Animal Hospital AAHA Accredited Hospital Cat Friendly Practice Two locations serving the Durango community Winner of 'Best of Durango' Veterinary Hospital for 10 consecutive years 10-doctor small animal practice with an additional veterinarian joining the team Collaborative culture focused on teamwork, communication, and continuous improvement Advanced diagnostics, surgery, urgent care, rehabilitation, and wellness services Advanced Procedures TPLO surgeries Fracture repairs Endoscopic and laparoscopic procedures Brachycephalic airway surgeries GDV surgeries Splenectomies Rehabilitation services Acupuncture Home hospice care Advanced dentistry and diagnostics What You'll Do Obtain patient histories and maintain accurate electronic medical records Assist veterinarians with examinations, diagnostics, and treatments Perform venipuncture, IV catheter placement, and medication administration Monitor anesthesia and assist with surgical procedures Perform laboratory diagnostics, including hematology, cytology, urinalysis, and blood chemistry Assist with dentistry, including dental radiographs and prophylaxis Support hospitalized and urgent care patients Educate clients on treatment plans, medications, and preventive care What We're Looking For Veterinary Technician or Veterinary Assistant experience required Credentialed Veterinary Technicians (CVT, RVT, LVT) encouraged to apply Experienced non-credentialed veterinary professionals will also be considered Anesthesia monitoring experience required Emergency anesthesia experience preferred Dental experience preferred (training available) Ability to adapt to multiple doctors' workflows and patient needs Strong communication and organizational skills Flexible, team-oriented mindset Passion for high-quality medicine and patient care Schedule Full-Time or Part-Time opportunities available Flexible scheduling options Rotating weekends and holidays Evening and weekend shift opportunities available Shift differential available for qualifying shifts Compensation & Benefits $20-$26/hour based on experience and credentials PAW bonus program Shift differential opportunities Medical, dental, and vision insurance 401(k) with employer match Health Savings Account (HSA) and Flexible Spending Account (FSA) Short-term and long-term disability Life insurance Paid time off and paid holidays for eligible employees Employee pet discounts Uniforms provided CE allowance for full-time credentialed technicians License renewal reimbursement for full-time credentialed technicians VTNE reimbursement for eligible employees Why Join Riverview Animal Hospital?
