Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated Shift Leader in our Subway restaurant. The ideal candidate will have experience in the fast food industry and possess strong leadership skills to oversee daily operations efficiently.
Forward Corporation is a fifth-generation family-owned and operated Michigan company that has been in business for 100 years. Known primarily for its various Shell and Marathon Convenience Stores, Forward’s brand portfolio has grown to include many Subway Restaurants, Super 8 Motels, The LumberJack Lodge, and The LumberJack Restaurant in West Branch. Forward Corp. also owns and operates Forward Energy, a home-heating business, and T.R. McTaggart, a custom screen print and embroidery business. Forward Corp. is headquartered in Standish, MI, and proudly employs over 700 Michigan residents across the state.
Duties:
- Manage and lead a team of staff during shifts to ensure smooth operations
- Supervise and participate in food preparation and service
- Handle cash transactions, including opening and closing registers
- Conduct inventory management and restocking of supplies
- Coordinate catering orders
- Conduct shift management, including assigning tasks and monitoring performance
- Uphold high standards of customer service and resolve any issues promptly
Requirements:
- Previous experience in restaurant management
- Proficiency in cash handling procedures
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and guide a team
- Knowledge of food service management practices
