Assistant BakerBased in a world-class Dexterra camp facility, the Baker's Assistant supports the bakery operation by assisting with the preparation and baking of fresh goods to the highest Dexterra standards. Reporting to the Baker, this role focuses on hands-on production, quality control, and sanitation, ensuring a consistent supply of high-quality baked goods to support daily meal service.Your work will include:Assisting the Baker with preparing and baking goods from scratchFollowing approved recipes, menus, and product directions when preparing baked goodsRestocking pastry shelves and maintaining a sufficient, fresh, and well-presented supply of baked goodsEnsuring the quality of baked goods and desserts meets Dexterra standardsSupporting consistent food quality in accordance with client requirements, including special dietary considerationsComplying with all food hygiene and Food Safety regulationsCleaning, washing, and sanitizing bakery equipment, tools, and overall work areasAssisting with proper storage, labeling, and rotation of baked productsSupporting the Baker and culinary team with additional duties as requiredWe are looking for someone with:Bakery or food service experienceFood Safety CertificationAbility to maintain quality and consistency in a high-volume production settingAbility to stand for extended periods and lift up to 35 poundsStrong attention to detail, organization, and cleanlinessTeam-oriented attitude with a willingness to learn and take directionDexterra is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
