Sr.AI- ML Engineer / Gen AI Lead

Job Summary Prompt Engineer – responsible for designing, developing, and optimizing prompts for large language models (LLMs) to deliver high‑quality, context‑sensitive responses in web applications. Responsibilities Design, engineer, and optimize prompts and few‑shot techniques to improve LLM performance on specific tasks (e.g., personalized recommendations). Evaluate LLMs through zero‑shot and few‑shot capabilities, fine‑tune hyperparameters, and ensure generalization across tasks. Investigate model interpretability and integration for robust web‑app deployment. Collaborate with ML, integration, and cross‑functional teams to define AI project requirements and align with business objectives. Conduct research on the latest advancements in generative AI, machine learning, and deep learning to identify product opportunities. Optimize existing generative AI models for performance, scalability, and efficiency. Qualifications Strong proficiency in Python and experience with machine learning and NLP pipelines. Experience working with NoSQL databases and vector databases. Solid background in developing generative AI models using deep learning techniques (e.g., GPT, VAE, GAN). Hands‑on experience with LangChain and LLM orchestration. Deep knowledge of data structures, algorithms, and software engineering principles. Aptitude for prompt engineering and few‑shot learning strategies. Ability to evaluate models, fine‑tune hyperparameters, and assess model interpretability. Compensation & Benefits The annual salary ranges from $130,000 to $150,000, depending on experience and qualifications. Eligible for Cognizant’s discretionary annual incentive program.
