Pay Type: Exempt / Salary paid Twice Per Month Annual Salary Pay: $70,000 - $75,000 per year based on experience Schedule: shift: Monday- Friday 7:00am- 4:30pm (24/7 safety responsibilities) Bi-lingual preferred (Spanish) The Warehouse Safety & Training Manager is responsible for the planning and execution of training at their site. They will report to the Group Logistics Manager and coordinate with the Safety Manager to train new hires and keep existing employees current on required training. Essential Functions Contribute to meeting site productivity and quality goals by administering on the job training and powered industrial truck (PIT) training to all new and existing employees including cross training as needed. Update and maintain various existing training documents and help create new training documents for various departments and job functions. Complete Human Resource paperwork and other administrative tasks as assigned. Coordinate department activities and special projects to ensure quality and meet timetables. Coordinate with the Group Manager Logistics for appropriate staffing levels. Direct staff in the development, analysis, and performance of job tasks. Supervise staff in accordance with company policies and procedures. Assist staff in resolving complex or out-of-policy operation problems. Conduct interviews, hire new staff, and provide employee orientation. Coach and provide career development advice to staff. Responsible for staff scheduling to include work assignments/rotations, employee training, employee vacations, employee breaks, overtime assignments, and back-up for absent employees. Perform standard work audits with new and existing employees to ensure adherence to process. Responsible for coordinating safety activities for the site by working with the Safety Manager to ensure safety training is current, including OSHA and forklift training. Additional Responsibilities Evaluate department processes. Recommend and coordinate needed changes based on process analysis. Establish employee goals and conduct employee performance reviews. Communicate with other Supervisors and Managers. Performs other duties as assigned. Skills and Abilities Strong verbal and written communication skills, Required. Ability to create and maintain professional relationships within all levels of the organization (peers, work groups, customers, supervisors). Required. Ability to work independently and as a member of a team. Required. Flexibility to operate and self-driven to excel in a fast-paced environment. Required. Capable of multi-tasking, highly organized, with excellent time management skills. Required. Detail-oriented with excellent follow-up practices. Required. Qualifications H.S. Diploma/GED, Required. Bachelor’s degree in business, Logistics, Supply Chain, Preferred. 1 year or more in driving various PIT equipment, Required. 3 years or more in relevant experience in supply chain, logistics, warehouse or industry-related field, Preferred. 1 year or more in Training / Leadership background, Preferred. Compensation Information The compensation offered to a candidate may be influenced by a variety of factors, including the candidate’s relevant experience; education, including relevant degrees or certifications; work location; market data/ranges; internal equity; internal salary ranges; etc. The position may also be eligible to receive an annual bonus, commission, and/or long-term incentive plan based on the level and/or type. Compensation ranges for the position are below: Pay Type Salaried. Minimum Pay Range: $70,000. Maximum Pay Range: $75,000.
