Wealth Management Client Service Associate

Coastal Management Solutions (CMS) is seeking a detail-oriented and client-focused Wealth Management Client Service Associate to support an established wealth management practice in Morganton, North Carolina.

This is an excellent opportunity for a financial services professional with direct wealth management experience who enjoys working closely with financial advisors, managing client account operations, and providing exceptional service to clients.

The ideal candidate has hands-on experience supporting brokerage or advisory accounts, coordinating client onboarding, processing account paperwork, and handling day-to-day client service requests. We're looking for someone who takes ownership of their work, communicates effectively, and thrives in a collaborative environment where accuracy and follow-through are essential.

Commuting flexibility: Candidates based in the Charlotte or Gastonia areas are encouraged to apply. The position is on-site in Morganton, with flexibility for candidates willing to commute from these areas. Weekly travel expenses are covered.

Responsibilities

• Support financial advisors with day-to-day client service and wealth management operations.
• Coordinate new client onboarding, including account applications, account establishment, and required documentation.
• Process brokerage and advisory account paperwork, account maintenance requests, asset transfers, and money movement transactions.
• Review account documentation for accuracy and completeness and resolve NIGO (Not In Good Order) items promptly.
• Maintain accurate client records and ensure account information is updated appropriately.
• Serve as a point of contact for client service requests, account questions, and operational needs.
• Coordinate with custodians, internal operations teams, and other business partners to ensure timely processing of client requests.
• Monitor outstanding paperwork and account requests to ensure timely follow-up and completion.
• Follow firm policies, procedures, and applicable industry regulations while maintaining client confidentiality.
• Identify opportunities to improve workflows and enhance the overall client experience.

Qualifications

• Direct experience in wealth management or financial advisory services is required.
• Experience supporting financial advisors, brokerage accounts, investment accounts, or registered investment adviser (RIA) operations.
• Familiarity with account opening, account maintenance, asset transfers, and money movement processes.
• Understanding of brokerage or advisory account documentation and the ability to identify and resolve paperwork discrepancies.
• Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and commitment to accuracy.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities, work independently, and follow through on outstanding requests.
• Professional, client-focused demeanor with strong relationship-building skills.
• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business Administration, or a related field is a plus.
• FINRA licensing, including the Series 7, is a plus.
