Job Description

This role focuses on maintaining and repairing production equipment and facility systems in a manufacturing environment. You will ensure that CNC tube bending machines, mills, presses, saws, and related mechanical and electrical equipment operate safely, efficiently, and reliably, while supporting continuous production.

Responsibilities

• Repair and maintain mechanical and electrical equipment, including CNC tube bending machines, mills, presses, saws, and related systems.
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues with hydraulic and pneumatic systems to minimize equipment downtime.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot PLC-controlled equipment to support efficient machine operation.
• Perform and document routine preventative maintenance tasks on production and facility equipment.
• Inspect equipment regularly to identify potential problems and address them before failures occur.
• Work closely with machine operators to understand equipment issues and implement effective solutions.
• Communicate with vendors and service providers to coordinate repairs, parts replacement, and technical support.
• Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical documentation to support maintenance and repair activities.
• Support facility systems maintenance, including HVAC, chillers, and boilers as needed.
• Follow safety procedures and best practices while working on electrical, mechanical, and facility systems.

Essential Skills

• At least 2 years of experience in electrical and mechanical machine maintenance.
• Proven experience working on or maintaining CNC equipment, presses, or welding equipment.
• Hands-on experience with hydraulic systems, including troubleshooting and repair.
• Hands-on experience with pneumatic systems, including troubleshooting and repair.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings.
• Electrical troubleshooting skills for industrial machinery and equipment.
• Mechanical aptitude for diagnosing and repairing complex production equipment.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• PLC troubleshooting experience.
• Experience maintaining facilities systems such as HVAC, chillers, and boilers.
• Experience working in a manufacturing environment.
• Strong communication skills to collaborate with operators, vendors, and internal teams.
• Attention to detail and strong documentation skills for preventative maintenance records.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and manage multiple maintenance tasks.

Work Environment

This position is based in a manufacturing facility with approximately 75 employees. The facility is air conditioned and designed to support comfortable year-round operations. The standard schedule runs Monday through Thursday from 3:00 PM to 1:30 AM, providing a consistent four-day workweek on an afternoon/evening shift. You will work around CNC tube bending machines, mills, presses, saws, and other industrial equipment, following established safety procedures and using appropriate tools and protective equipment.

This is a Permanent position based out of Fridley, MN.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $62400.00 - $72800.00/yr.

4% 401K match, PTO, full insurance coverage
