Security Officer

As a full‑time Security Officer at Banner FortCollins Medical Center, you will respond to emergency situations, protect patients and visitors, patrol the facility and grounds, and provide alarm monitoring and response. Shift Schedule Three 12‑hour shifts per week (both day and night). Standard schedule: 6AM‑6PM or 6PM‑6AM, with a half day on Wednesday. Night shifts: ShiftC: Sunday‑Tuesday 6:00PM–6:00AM, half‑day Wednesday 6:00PM–12:00AM. ShiftD: Half‑day Wednesday 12:00AM–6:00AM, Thursday‑Saturday 6:00PM–6:00AM. Respond promptly to all emergency codes and coordinate with medical staff. Assist in restraining or managing combative patients. Enforce parking and traffic regulations, control access to facilities. Conduct searches, interviews, and enforce security policies. Perform and maintain alarm systems, unlock and lock doors as required. Handle money pick‑ups, document collections, and escorting of patients or visitors. Investigate incidents, complete written reports, and maintain activity logs. Provide testimony in legal settings when necessary. Assist with confidential document handling and scanning into electronic health records. Report to the Security Supervisor or Officer in Charge. Minimum Qualifications Valid driver’s license and eligibility for company auto insurance. Required security certifications and completion of Basic Officer Academy. Ability to observe, exercise good judgment, and write comprehensive reports. Proficiency with assigned non‑lethal weapons and adherence to training. Strong verbal communication and professional appearance. Successful completion of physical requirements (tested annually). Fingerprint Clearance Card at the time of hire; maintain card. Criminal History Affidavit if working at Banner Behavioral Health Hospital. Preferred Qualifications Prior experience in law enforcement, military, corrections, healthcare, or advanced security. Related education or experience. Pay Range $17.67 – $26.50 per hour. Compensation determined by experience, education, certifications, and geographic location.
