Garden Center Plant Installation Crew Leader

RSC LANDSCAPING, LTD is a leading provider of high-quality landscaping services, dedicated to transforming residential properties into beautiful, functional outdoor spaces. We are currently seeking a motivated and experienced Garden Center Plant Installation Crew Leader to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will lead a crew in the installation of plant material purchased at our Garden Center and installed at residential properties. This position offers an excellent opportunity to grow your career in landscaping while working closely with our Landscape Manager to ensure the highest standards of quality and customer satisfaction.

Responsibilities

  • Lead, train, and assist the crew in daily assignments and routines
  • Delegate tasks to maintain productivity and profitability
  • Support ongoing learning and development of team members
  • Install a variety of trees, shrubs, and perennials
  • Create new landscaping beds
  • Maintain cleanliness of work areas
  • Deliver and spread mulch, topsoil, and compost
  • Comply with and enforce all safety rules and regulations
  • Perform other related duties as assigned

Qualifications

  • Knowledge of landscape practices and procedures
  • At least one year of experience in landscape or related field
  • Previous supervisory experience preferred
  • Good written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to communicate effectively with homeowners
  • Ability to work efficiently and follow directions
  • Ability to operate various types of power equipment and hand tools
  • Ability to multi-task, be detail-oriented, delegate, and mediate
  • Valid driver’s license
  • Ability to stand, walk, stretch, bend, climb ladders, kneel, and pull for prolonged periods
  • Ability to work in a variety of weather conditions
  • Ability to lift up to 40 pounds at a time
  • Dependable attendance record
  • Must be 18 years of age or older
