Environmental Program Supervisor II (NS) Position Number: 60032731 | Grade: NC20 | Division: Marine Fisheries, North Carolina Department of Environmental Quality (DEQ) Job Summary This position coordinates the implementation of the Division’s Fishery Management Plan (FMP) development process, including tracking and coordination of implementation. It is responsible for reviewing and developing state‑level fisheries management policies, reviewing and developing legislation related to state fisheries management or associated DMF/Marine Fisheries Commission responsibilities, and supervising FMP coordinators, stock assessment staff, and MFC support staff. Key Responsibilities FMP development and implementation Fisheries policy development and implementation DMF/MFC related legislation review and development Supervision of FMP coordinators, stock assessment staff, and MFC support staff Qualifications Minimum Education: Bachelor’s degree in one of the agricultural, biological, engineering, environmental or natural resource sciences, or a closely related curriculum from an accredited institution, and five years of progressive experience in environmental work; or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Salary Range: $70,478–$85,843.
