Warehouse Associate - 1st ShiftCentralia - Centralia, IL 62801OverviewSalary Range $20.50 Hourly Position Type Full Time Travel Percentage None Category WarehouseDescriptionSchedule 9AM - 5:30PM M-F Pay $20.50/HR Position Summary Loads outbound trucks, unloads and puts away inbound merchandise, and performs clean-up duties.Essential FunctionsUnloads materials from our customers' and suppliers' trucks.Put away or stock inbound materials.Pulls customers' orders from inventory on hand.Load company and customer vehicles with outbound materials.Safely operate a forklift to assist in handling of materials.Sweep and clean warehouse and pick up trash.Observe all safety rules: (i.e. safety glasses, ear plugs, Lock Out/Tag Out, etc.).Assist in counting inventory.Checks in merchandise from receiving documentation.QualificationsQualifications High school diploma or GED required Ability to read and understand written instructions and shipping documents Strong problem-solving and analytical skills Team-oriented with good communication skills Able to pass a forklift operator's test following standard training Previous experience with building materials is a plusPhysical Requirements This position requires frequent physical activity, including:Standing, walking, squatting, kneeling, bending, and climbing stairs/laddersLifting/carrying up to 100 lbs. frequently; occasionally over 100 lbs.Frequent pushing/pulling of up to 100 lbs.Constant use of hands/arms/legs for material handling and machine operationWork Environment This is a physically demanding role in a warehouse setting.
