Job Description
We are looking for an Cable & Wire Harness Technician to support our Avionics Development Center. As a member of the Avionics Development Center you’ll get to support critical fabrication and testing efforts in both a production and development environment. This position will serve on-site at our facility in Rancho Bernardo, CA.
\n \nResponsibilities
\nUnder close supervision, performs routine technical functions related to the support of development engineering activities such as design, test, checkout, fabrication, modification, and assembly of electronics and Electro-mechanical systems, experimental design circuitry, prototype models or specialized test equipment. Assemble, install, test, and maintain electronic systems, components, and equipment. Diagnose and repair circuit boards, wiring, and other electronic components. Maintain compliance with all Foreign Object Elimination (FOE) and Foreign Object Damage (FOD) safety, quality, and Electrostatic Discharge (ESD) standards.
\n \nThis position will either focus on wire harness fabrication or detailed soldering applications (i.e., Circuit Card repairs) based on the hired candidate's skillset and experience.
\n \nBasic Qualifications
\n \n4 years of related experience or electronics training equivalent to 2 years of technical trade school or military technical school, Experience fabricating wire harnesses or circuit card assemblies.
\n \nMust Have
\n \nAbility to interpret engineering specs, drawings, diagrams and blueprints
\nAble to read drawings / wiring diagrams, previous government experience, experience with ESD (electrostatic discharge) and FOD (foreign object damage) control. Previous experience working in a manufacturing environment.

\n \nPreferred Qualifications
\nCurrent or previously held certifications for wire harness fabrication (IPC-WHMA-A-620) or soldering and circuit card assembly/rework (IPC J-STD-001 / IPC-7711/7721).
