Job Title

Registered Nurse – Medical Surgical (Renal)

Schedule / Job Type

Contract | Days | 3x12-Hour Shifts (7:00 AM – 7:00 PM) | Onsite

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care to an adult and geriatric population on a Renal Medical Surgical unit
• Manage a patient assignment of 5–6 patients within a 49-room unit averaging a daily census of 48
• Accurately document patient assessments, interventions, and outcomes using Epic EMR
• Communicate effectively using SBAR methodology with interdisciplinary team members
• Float within the facility and within scope of practice as operationally needed
• Adhere to holiday coverage expectations as outlined in contract terms

Required Qualifications

• Active Georgia RN license or valid Compact RN license at time of submission
• Minimum of 1 year of RN experience (first-time travelers accepted)
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
• Proficiency with Epic EMR (required) and Pyxis medication dispensing system
• Ability to work every other weekend unless otherwise specified
• All requested time off (maximum 7 days per contract) must be finalized at time of submission; no RTO requests accepted post-offer or during orientation week

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Prior experience in a Renal Medical Surgical setting
• Familiarity with SBAR communication framework in an acute care environment
• Experience working in high-census, fast-paced medical surgical units
