Registered Nurse – Pediatric Psychiatry

36 or 48 hours per week, rotating day, evening, and night shifts. Weekend, holiday, and on-call availability required.

Assignment Details

Position available in a child and adolescent unit for patients 5-18 years of age experiencing acute mental health crises. Responsibilities will include collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to meet patient goals and provide safe, effective, and therapeutic care.

Requirements

• Current New York State RN License
• Two years of pediatric mental health experience
• BLS Certification (AHA only)

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care and administer psychopharmacological interventions.
• Facilitate therapeutic group interventions focused on stabilization, including Activities Therapy, Mindfulness, Wellness, and Coping Skills groups.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary team members to plan and implement patient care.
• Assess patient needs and develop care plans to support recovery.
• Monitor and document patient progress and responses to treatment.
