We're looking for a Senior Field Engineer who is ready to take the next step in their construction career. Based out of our Wilmington, NC division , this role offers the opportunity to take on greater responsibility in the field, lead assigned scopes of work, collaborate with experienced project teams, and continue developing toward future leadership opportunities such as Assistant Superintendent.

What You'll Do

As a Senior Field Engineer, you'll play a key role in keeping projects running safely, efficiently, and on schedule. Working alongside Superintendents and Project Managers, you'll help coordinate field operations, support quality and safety initiatives, and build strong relationships with subcontractors and project partners.

Responsibilities include:

• Support the Superintendent and field leadership team in the day-to-day execution of construction projects;
• Manage assigned scopes of work with increasing ownership and accountability for safety, quality, schedule, and productivity;
• Perform quality control inspections, identify deficiencies, and help ensure work meets project plans, specifications, and company standards;
• Coordinate project inspections with building officials and third-party inspectors;
• Assist in developing and maintaining short-term schedules and three-week look-ahead plans;
• Monitor project progress and maintain accurate field documentation, including daily reports and inspection records;
• Coordinate with subcontractors, vendors, design teams, and internal project staff to resolve field issues and keep work moving forward;
• Support project cost management, planning, and field logistics;
• Mentor Field Engineers and help foster a collaborative, team-oriented jobsite culture; and
• Champion Clancy & Theys' commitment to safety while promoting a positive and professional work environment.

What We're Looking For

• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent construction experience);
• Approximately 2-4 years of commercial construction experience with increasing field responsibilities;
• Strong understanding of construction methods, sequencing, quality control, and contract documents;
• Excellent communication, organization, and problem-solving skills;
• Ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining attention to detail;
• Experience coordinating subcontractors and working collaboratively with project teams;
• Proficiency with construction technology and documentation tools;
• OSHA 10 certification preferred (or willingness to obtain); and
• A passion for learning, continuous improvement, and building a long-term career in construction.
