Travel RN – Labor & Delivery (Night Shift)

Schedule / Job Type

Contract (13 Weeks) | Full-Time | Nights (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM) | Three 12-Hour Shifts per Week | Onsite

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in a Labor, Delivery, Recovery, and Postpartum (LDRP) setting, supporting patients through the full continuum from labor through postpartum
• Manage labor patients at a 1–2:1 ratio and postpartum patients at a 3–4:1 ratio, utilizing active positioning and labor management techniques
• Operate and interpret GE fetal monitoring and Monica Novii wireless fetal monitoring systems; manage alaris pumps and other unit equipment
• Document accurately using CPN and Meditech EMR systems; participate in bedside shift report, communication board updates, and nurse leader rounding
• Assist with or circulate for vaginal deliveries, cesarean sections, NSTs, and circumcisions; respond to and manage OB emergencies as needed
• Float within Women's services units as needed and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team including residents, hospitalists, and a dedicated anesthesia team

Required Qualifications

• Minimum of 1 year of current acute care Labor & Delivery experience (2 years preferred)
• Active, unrestricted RN license valid in Kansas or compact state eligibility
• Current ACLS certification
• Current BLS certification
• Current NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) certification
• Current AWHONN Fetal Monitoring certification or Intermediate Fetal Monitoring (IFM) certification

Preferred Experience / Skills

• OR circulating experience within a Labor & Delivery or Women's services setting
• Experience with labor positioning techniques, including Spinning Babies methodology
• Demonstrated ability to recognize and manage OB emergencies effectively
