Travel Registered Nurse ER Job

Overview Registered Nurse, Emergency Department (ER) – Mattoon, Illinois, United States. Travel assignment starts 07/13/2026 and runs for 13 weeks in a hospital-based ER setting. Responsibilities

• Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate individualized patient care for ER patients
• Provide clinical leadership to the patient care team during the assigned shift
• Triage, stabilize, and monitor patients; administer medications and interventions per protocol
• Collaborate with physicians, nursing colleagues, and ancillary staff to coordinate care
• Document assessments, interventions, and patient outcomes; ensure accurate handoffs and continuity of care
• Respond to emergencies, participate in rapid response activities, and assist with procedures as needed

Requirements

• Active Illinois Registered Nurse license (Nursys state verification required)
• BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications current (American Heart Association)
• 3+ years ER nursing experience (REQUIRED)
• TNCC certification preferred but not required
• Permanent address outside a 50-mile radius of the assignment location; local candidates within radius will not be considered
• Two Supervisory Reference Forms completed with dates of employment listed (REQUIRED)
