Role Overview: We are looking for a motivated Manual QA Engineer to join our remote team. You’ll play a key role in ensuring the quality and reliability of our platform as we enhance our product and build scalable features. This role will focus primarily on manual testing to enable the release of engineer tickets while preventing bug introduction by thoroughly testing happy paths and potential critical edge cases. In this position, you’ll take ownership of manual testing initiatives and work alongside passionate, driven individuals in a fast-paced startup environment. Key Responsibilities: Design, develop, and execute manual test plans and test cases for web applications and APIs Collaborate closely with product, engineering, and design teams to understand requirements and ensure comprehensive manual test coverage Identify, document, and track bugs and issues, working with developers to ensure timely resolution Ensure the performance, security, and scalability of our platform through rigorous manual testing Contribute to release management and regression manual testing to ensure high-quality product releases Our Ideal Candidate: Goal-Oriented: Creative, logical, and proactive in achieving goals and tracking key metrics Fast-paced: Thrives in a fast-moving environment, managing multiple priorities without missing a beat Entrepreneurial Spirit: A proactive self-starter mentality, always looking for ways to innovate and improve Team Growth: Experience working in small teams where responsibilities increase over time Energetic and Passionate: With a strong sense of humor and compassion, you bring energy and passion to the team What We’re Looking For: 1-3 years of experience as a QA Engineer or Software Tester, preferably in a SaaS or startup environment Experience with manual testing of web applications and APIs (Postman) Familiarity with testing tools such as Playwright, or similar Exposure to CI/CD pipelines and version control (e.g., Git) Experience with bug tracking and test management tools (e.g., Jira) Basic understanding of web technologies (Node.js, React, PostgreSQL, AWS) is a plus TypeScript knowledge is a bonus but not mandatory Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to take initiative and deliver results in a fully remote, fast-paced startup Good communication skills in English (written and verbal) Contractor Position : Please note that this is a remote, independent contractor opportunity.
