Role Description This is a part-time, on-site Book Seller role based in Dallas, TX. The Book Seller will assist customers in finding and selecting books, offering recommendations based on interests and needs. Day-to-day responsibilities include operating the point-of-sale system, handling cash and card transactions, restocking and shelving inventory, and maintaining clean, organized displays. The role also involves answering questions about titles and authors, supporting store events, and contributing to a friendly, inclusive atmosphere. Book Sellers collaborate with the team to meet sales goals, ensure a high level of customer satisfaction, and support smooth store operations. Qualifications Bookselling and basic sales skills, including familiarity with book genres and the ability to recommend titles thoughtfully. Customer Service and Customer Satisfaction skills to create a welcoming environment and address customer needs professionally. Strong Communication skills, including clear verbal interaction and active listening with customers and team members. Interest in literature and reading, with the ability to discuss books and authors comfortably. Reliability, punctuality, and the ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends as needed. Comfort using a point-of-sale system and handling cash and card transactions accurately. Ability to stand for extended periods, lift and carry boxes of books as needed, and maintain store organization.
